Article Types:
CVA article types are as follows.

(1) Research Paper

A research paper shall contain new technical contributions. Originality in concepts and validation through experiments are prerequisites.

(2) Systems Paper

This type of paper shall describe a vision system that either provides a new practical functionality or demonstrates a new application. Papers on systems that significantly exceed state-of-the-art performance are also acceptable.

(3) Position Paper

A position paper shall analyze the development of an area or topic, with the intent of providing opinions on state-of-the-art work and suggestions for future directions. This type of paper can also be philosophical in nature, arguing for or against different competing methodologies.

(4) Survey Paper

A survey paper shall describe all major work leading to state-of-the-art techniques in an area or topic. Such a paper is expected to provide an overview on the area or topic, educate readers on the major issues, and compare and contrast approaches.

(5) Technical Note

Technical notes provide a fast publication path for novel research results or provide in-depth explanations on well-known techniques. These in-depth explanations must not be covered in prior publications. Descriptions of databases for public research use are also acceptable.
